Commercial Metal Buildings in Central Texas

Commercial steel has to go up to code, on a schedule your tenants and your lender can plan around. We build warehouses, retail units, storage and light industrial space across Central Texas.

What's involved

What you get, and what it costs to get it.

Commercial steel has to go up to code, on a schedule your tenants and your lender can plan around. We build warehouses, retail units, storage and light industrial space across Central Texas.

We size the building around your plan rather than fitting your plan to a stock package. Span, height, door sizes, roof pitch, porches and openings all get decided before anything is ordered — which is why they don't turn into change orders later.

Most owners come to us with a rough footprint and a budget. We walk the lot, tell you honestly what it will take, and put the number in writing.

What's included

  • Frame engineered for your loading and county
  • Roof and wall systems with matching trim
  • Dock, roll-up and man-door openings framed
  • Gutters and downspouts
  • Coordination with your slab and civil contractors
  • Final walk-through and punch list

What drives the price

We don't publish a price per square foot, because the number would be wrong for almost everybody who read it. These are the things that actually move a quote up or down — worth thinking about before you call.

  • Square footage, span and eave height
  • Design loading and code requirements for the site
  • Dock doors, canopies and glazing
  • Insulation and any office build-out
  • Site work: paving, drainage and access
  • Programme — a compressed schedule costs more

Commercial Buildings FAQ

Before you call.

Anything not answered here, ask on the phone. We'd rather talk it through than have you guess.

What drives the cost of a commercial metal building?

Span and eave height set the steel weight, which is the largest single line. After that it is openings, insulation, and site work. Two buildings with the same square footage can differ by a wide margin purely on clear span and door count.

Do you work with our architect and engineer?

Yes. Send us the drawings and we price them as issued. We will raise anything that looks like it will cause a problem during erection while it is still cheap to change.

Can you phase the work around an operating business?

Often, yes. Tell us what has to stay open and when, and we will sequence the build around it. It usually costs a little more in crew time and saves far more in lost trading.

Do you do tenant fit-outs?

We build and finish the shell, including framing openings and structural changes. Interior fit-out trades are coordinated separately, and we can point you at contractors we work with regularly.
